This presentation provides an operational debrief of an 18-hour hostage barricade that occurred in Cedar Park, Texas, in August 2020. The incident began when the suspect ambushed and shot three Cedar Park PD officers who responded to a disturbance call. The suspect then barricaded himself inside the residence, holding three family members hostage in a bathroom closet while negotiators and tactical operators with Central Texas Regional SWAT coordinated a response.
