The Tulsa Incident
In March 2016, officers were called to investigate a violation of a protective order. The complainant reported that she saw her husband and son via security camera enter her apartment. When an officer attempted to enter the apartment a single gunshot was heard, followed by several other shots. A 16-hour standoff ensued in which negotiations were established to work toward a peaceful resolution.
