Officer Ashley Luedtke

Officer Ashley Luedtke has served as an officer with the Austin Police Department since 2010.  Along with being an officer, Ashley is also a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW), enabling her to bring a unique blend of compassion and tactical expertise to her work. She has spent the majority of her career on patrol and continues to work patrol shifts as often as she can, staying closely connected to the community and the heart of police work. Patrol is her favorite part of the job.  Since 2018, she’s been a member of the department’s hostage negotiation team and is part of the team’s training cadre. She is also a dedicated member of the Special Response Team (SRT) and the Bicycle Public Order Team (BPOT). In addition, she serves on the Peer Support Team reflecting her commitment to both officer wellness and public safety in dynamic environments. Currently, she’s assigned to the Advanced Education Unit, where she helps train and mentor sworn officers and cadets in a myriad of topics to include crisis intervention, patrol driving, arrest search & seizure and officer wellness to name a few.
